Wildlife Rope Bridges

Age: 8+

Let us teach you how to build fauna rope bridges for our native wildlife!

Wildlife rope bridges can help tree-dwelling marsupials move across large gaps in the canopy. This means that they don’t need to come down to the ground to move between trees, reducing their risk of predation or injury by vehicles.

We have designed an easy-to-make wildlife rope bridge using sisal rope, a biodegradable material. We will teach students how to knot together a simple design of flat rope bridge.  We will then take the rope bridges and install them in areas where the tree canopy has been lost.
