Helping children
to create a living classroom.

Habitat Warriors is a fun, nature-based program that teaches children about our native plants and wildlife.

Children can get curious about nature with a hands-on revegetation program tailored to your school.  We also run individual sessions that teach children how to create wildlife habitat and act as “citizen scientists”.

As nature specialists, we want to share our knowledge to inspire and empower the next generation to take action for our environment.

How Does it Work?

Running a revegetation program can be tricky unless you have the right knowledge and skills. We make it simple for schools to run their own 6-12 month revegetation program, with on-ground support and an online portal with useful resources and tips.  Our online portal also has a range of fun, nature-based learning resources – each resource comes with a detailed lesson plan with clear links to the Victoria School Curriculum and teaching outcomes.  You can either choose to run your own program independently, or our expert botanists can help out during any stage of the project.

Looking for less commitment? We also run shorter, hands-on environmental education sessions that can be tailored to the number of students and time that you have available.

Our sessions include wildlife rope bridge building and making Jedabila habitat pods for wildlife. You can also take part in one of our cultural heritage sessions (automatically included as part of our revegetation program) where children can understand and experience Aboriginal culture with a Traditional Owner.

Are you interested in running a revegetation program, but not sure where to start?

Unsure how to pull together a planting list or how to grow your own native plants?

Want to learn more about our native wildlife and Aboriginal heritage from a Traditional Owner in a fun, interactive way?

Our “one-stop shop” approach will help you run a fun, practical revegetation program that benefits both the environment and your students. Our individual sessions can be run separately or combined with our revegetation program to suit your school or group.
