Terms and Conditions

By participating in the Habitat Warriors revegetation program and/or individual sessions (“the program”), you agree to comply with and be bound by the following terms and conditions. Please read them carefully.

General

  • The program coordinators will take all reasonable precautions to ensure the safety and well-being of participants during the program. However, participants (or their guardians) acknowledge that there are inherent risks associated with outdoor activities, including but not limited to physical injury, allergic reactions and environmental hazards.
  • Participants (or their guardians) agree to release and hold harmless the program coordinators, volunteers, and any affiliated organisations from any claims, demands or causes of action arising out of or in connection with participation in the program, except in cases of gross negligence or willful misconduct.

Safety and Conduct

  • Participants must follow all safety guidelines provided by program coordinators.  Participants may be required to take part in a mandatory safety briefing before engaging in any program activities.
  • In the event of an emergency, participants must follow the instructions of the program coordinators.
  • Any form of harassment, bullying, or disruptive behavior will not be tolerated.
  • Respect for wildlife and the natural environment is mandatory.  Any intentional damage to the environment may result in removal from the program.
  • Failure to comply with safety guidelines and behavioral expectations may result in removal from the program.

Accidents and Allergies

  • The program coordinators are not liable for any injuries or accidents that occur during program activities.
  • While the program coordinators will take reasonable steps to minimise exposure to known allergens and provide basic first aid, program coordinators are not responsible for the treatment of allergic reactions.  Participants (or their guardians) acknowledge that it is their responsibility to manage their own allergies and carry any necessary emergency medication (e.g., EpiPen, antihistamines).  In the event of an allergic reaction, participants must notify a program coordinator immediately.
  • In the event of an injury or medical emergency, participants must notify a program coordinator immediately. Basic first aid will be administered on-site and emergency services will be contacted if necessary.
  • Participants (or their guardians) are responsible for any medical expenses incurred as a result of participation in the program.

    Equipment and Materials

    • The program coordinators are not responsible for any personal property lost, stolen or damaged during program activities.
    • All necessary equipment and materials will be provided by the program (this will vary for each program and individual session type).  Participants must use the equipment as instructed during the safety briefing.
    • Participants are responsible for the proper use and care of all equipment and materials.
    • Any damage to equipment or materials due to negligence may result in the participant being held accountable for repair or replacement costs.  Participants must report any damaged equipment or materials to the program coordinators immediately.

    Changes and cancellations

    • The program coordinators reserve the right to modify or cancel activities due to weather conditions, safety concerns or other unforeseen circumstances. Participants will be notified of any changes as soon as possible.
    • The program coordinators are not liable for any inconvenience or costs incurred due to changes or cancellations.

    Data Collection and Privacy

    • Personal information collected during the program will be used solely for program administration and will not be shared with third parties without consent.
    • By participating in the program, participants (or their guardians) consent to the use of photographs and videos taken during program activities for promotional purposes, including social media. Participants who do not wish to be photographed or recorded must notify the program coordinators in writing in advance.
    • The program coordinators are not liable for any unauthorised use of photographs or videos by third parties.

    Feedback and improvement

    • We welcome feedback from participants to help improve the program.
    • Suggestions and concerns can be directed to the program coordinators via email.
