Moora Moora is located near Healvesille in the heart of the beautiful Yarra Valley, approixmiately one hour from Melbourne.

Day 1

Wildlife rope bridge building – students will learn how to build wildlife rope bridges, which will be places in nearby native habitat.

Plants – students will visit Badger Weir to learn about the rainforest ecosystem that occurs in the Yarra Ranges

Cultural heritage – fun, interactive, hands-on sessions that includes welcome ceremony and traditional dances for different native animals and didgeridoo sounds. Aboriginal artwork, symbols and wildlife tracks, where students get to create their own story. Traditional storytelling about our wildlife. Marngrook, with a handmade marngrook. Students learn about the significance and history of marngrook, with lots of opportunities to ask questions during a game of Marngrook.

Spotlighting – students will take part in a spotlighting adventure to look for noctural antive wildlife

Day 2

Habitat pod building sessions – students will learn how to build habitat pods for wildlife

Wayapa Wuurk session

Water quality monitoring at a local creek? E.g. Corranderk – chance to chat about Melbourne’s water supply, how it’s imp to keep it clean for wildlife and people

Visit to Healesville Sanctuary?
