Echoes of Country: Tracks, Calls and Totems
In this interactive online workshop, students will become sound sleuths and scat detectives, learning to identify native animals by their calls, tracks and clues. They’ll explore the roles of native and introduced species in Victorian landscapes and discover the rich cultural significance of animals to First Nations peoples through seasonal calendars, totem stories and Dreamtime traditions. Led by a Traditional Owner, the workshop blends science and culture, inspiring students to protect and celebrate the wildlife around them.
This workshop is for high-abilities students in Grade 3 and 4. You can see our workshop dates, times and booking forms below. The workshop is 90 minutes long.
