Our Commitment to Child Safety
At Habitat Warriors, children’s safety and wellbeing come first in everything we do. We recognise our responsibility to protect children and young people, and we are committed to creating programs where they feel safe, respected and supported.
Child safety is built into all our practices, and we design our operations with children’s increased vulnerability in mind. Everyone who works with or near children at Habitat Warriors must hold a valid Working with Children Check and follow our Child Safety and Wellbeing Policy and our Child Safety and Wellbeing Code of Conduct.
Our approach is guided by the Victorian Child Safe Standards. This helps ensure our staff are trained, our programs are safe and our organisation remains accountable.
We are committed to continuous improvement, cultural safety, and open communication so that every child who participates in our programs can learn, explore and connect with confidence.
